Well, no. Credibility doesn't come from a can. I have
been burned by MANY people with MA/MS/PhD in
English/TechComm fields. The title says
"knowledgeable" but the people in question exhibited
unmanaged behavior tied to non-grounded knowledge. In
a nutshell, they could talk the talk but not even
crawl the walk.

In your case it may make sense to get the degree, but
don't confuse credibility with visibility. :)
