The problem generally is not the tool--whatever "the tool" is for a given situation--but how the tool is employed.

Simply being able to easily create a presentation electronically is certainly no substitute for talent.

Surely as writers we should be familiar with the *many* people who believe that "anyone can write"--so why should it come as a big surprise that the level of content in PowerPoint is a reflection of the poor level of content nearly everywhere else?
