This is two problems (at least.) First, calibrate the monitors with Adobe
Gamma. Second, make test prints from all the devices using the standard
settings of the print driver. Look at what can be done by manipulating the
printer settings in the driver.
A third problem (not mentioned) is what happens when the job goes to offset
printing.
A graphic designer should understand most of this, and be able to keep
things moving forward with regard to output quality, no matter what the
device.

I wonder if anyone out there solved this annoying problem: the color on the
screen is different than the color of the ouput from our office printer
(Tektronix laser) and the output from a digital printer (we use a few).
