Word 2000 doesn't seem to recognize any single letter as a typo.

According the M-W11:
"pr" is the abbreviation for pair, price, or printed.
"Pr" is the abbreviation for praseodymium, or propyl.
"PR" is the abbreviation for payroll, proportional representation, public
relations, or Puerto Rico.
