Sorry that you're having such a stressful Friday. But honestly, what on Earth
was rude or implied your question was stupid? Certainly nothing on-list. Your
reply/reaction made me take the time to check the archives to read the whole
thread. Which is incredibly short to invoke such ire.
No, Goober didn't hold your hand and spend needless time guessing what your
exact problem was, but did take the time to say that with more information maybe
someone knows the answer. Some people it seems did have the time to take out of
their busy day and try to guess at solutions. That however doesn't say anything
bad about all those on list who could have given a quick answer if given all the
required information but can't take the time to guess.
Personally, I didn't bother responding for exactly the same reason. The error
was too vague and I didn't have time to guess. Actually, I still don't
understand what your problem was or how you fixed it.
It's also interesting to note the only person shouting (ALL CAPS), accusing the
list of having a bad attitude, and implying on-list responses were rude is
yourself. I didn't see anything smart alec or condescending in the on-list
posts.
Hope you have a good week-end and start next week off on a better note...
