> Idle curiosity?
no, i'm declaring that the msft eula's are about 6 pages of fine print, and
no matter what they say, i have to
use the product, regardless of what's contained in the 30 pages (excel *
word * powerpoint * outlook * project)
of legalese.
> If you don't "believe in" EULAs and don't intend to abide by
> them, then it doesn't matter what they say, does it?
funny how this whisper-down-the-lane works, isn't it? not believing in
something in a general way and failing to obey the legal strictures imposed
by it are two completely separate notions. i think that the government
wastes a horrifylingly
large percentage of the money it collects in taxes, but i pay my taxes.
nothing i ever do with business software would
come close to violating ANY eula, no matter how draconian. so except for
this second-copy-on-the-laptop thing, whatever they say hasn't been an issue
until now.
