It *does* happen. A friend of mine had it happen to
him a few weeks ago. His boss Googled for his name and
read a whole bunch of his posts to various mailing
lists. Now, nothing came of it because all his posts
were professional, but suffice to say it *does*
happen, and to the good employees as well as the bad.

Right. I've had some of my employers question me on
some e-mail before. No biggie, but they thought to
