If I read the original quote correctly, Microsoft wants to
hire journalists to write their on-line help, not their
technical documentation.

Thing is, I never thought it was the writers who made MS
help so useless, but the corporate help style imposed on
them. Writers from a different discipline can't change
anything until MS changes the way they think about how they
do help.
