Kevin,

I did an index for a <user guide> for a company I worked for last year.
Aside from purchasing indexing software, I am afraid you will have to go
the route of manually inserting IE's in the document. I am a little
fuzzy on the use of index cards, but it most likely goes along the lines
of how I did with highlighters for the hard copy.

Again, I may be off-base here, but I personally do not know of another
indexing method other than the old fashioned way--except for indexing
software. Good luck.
