TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
My suggestions to improve the efficiency of writers and the editor:
*Conduct regular refresher sessions on grammar, styleguide, writing
processes, usage of templates and tools.
*Regularly consult the writing team and modify your templates, processes,
tools, styleguide, etc. based on their concerns/suggestions.
*Give tips on standardizing the usage of language, graphics, tables, and
other elements (those are not mentioned in the styleguide)
*While editing, note down and compile the most common and frequent errors
and try to provide solutions.
*Analyze and classify documentation errors and non-conformances.
*Give suggestions to prevent such problems; conduct training programs
based on such findings, if necessary.
