That's what I keep hoping.  However, I've dealt with too many statisticians,
marketers and lawyers to believe that that is universally true.   Aside from
outright lying by commission, there is this belief that misdirection by
selective withholding of facts is not lying, when it is, in fact, lying by
omission. 

Granted, there can be a fine line between emphasizing the benefits of an
item and wilfully misrepresenting it.

What is the ROI for spam, anyway ... ?

Is it lying to associate a lifestyle with a product?  Does it really feel
better in a Mustang?
