Hi Bonnie,

Yes, I too would recommend downloading OpenOffice.org. Not only does Impress open
and run the Ppt files pretty well, esp the latest version (of 1.1)  but of course it
lets one *create* Powerpoint files without actually having Powerpoint. So that's
nice too. ;>
