Ive picked up a good book over the years that explain the role of a tech
writer. It's called The Complete Idiot's Guide to Tech Writing.
Check it out at your nearest library. It explains everything in detail about
the industry, its standards, STC, and obviously how to write a good manual
or guide accurately.
