First, you're using a pretty out-of-date version of Acrobat and you should lobby for an upgrade. That aside, though, the Open Web Page function requires a URL, not a UNC, regardless of the Acrobat version.

What you need to do is put the site within the scope of a Web server. You can use Personal Web Server if you don't have admin privileges to any other site. Or maybe your intranet person will post it for you in a subdirectory. Once you have it accessible in a browser, you should be able to access it from Acrobat, using the same URL.
