Er...actually...it makes perfect sense to this former industrial R&D formulation chemist.

Non-pulpy juice
= simple aqueous solution with a density close to that of pure water
= mixes thoroughly in a short period of time.

Pulpy juice
= complex particulate mixture
= turbid and probably denser than pure water
= takes longer to mix than non-pulpy juice.

Looks like they were writing those instructions for an audience of chemists, not an audience of technical writers <grin>.
