TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
A wise man once wrote to TECHWR-L: "I'm outta here in a week, so I've been
working on converting all my FM stuff to Word using Mif2Go because nobody in
my group is FM savvy..."
If you switch the new shop to Frame, too, perhaps you should get the boss to
pay for Frame training for your colleagues.
Most of the worst things about Word are the annoying, superfluous
automations, and most of them can be turned off. But you were wise to ask
TECHWR-L: Word Help is an oxymoron.
