Listers,
We have the opportunity to take our documentation from RoboHelp
x4-generated WinHelp to some form of HTML (not sure yet whether we're going
w/.chm or WebHelp), and I would like to hear about your experiences doing a
similar conversion.
Have you taken a project from WinHelp to HTML? What gotchas did you run
into? How much tweaking did you have to do? I understand that my non
scrolling regions will disappear...
We could pursue a different path: converting our RoboHelp project to
RoboHelp for FrameMaker (we're using FM 6 separately). I understand that
we'd have to take the RH project back to Word and jump through several
hoops to convert it to RH for FM, but (I've been told) this is a one-time
deal. If you've done this conversion, how did it go? What kinds of problems
did you have? What do you think about RH for FM? Solid product,
bug-riddled, or somewhere in between?
Thank you for all your help.
Regards,
Kristy
