as they used to say in the Twilight Zone, you are NOT
alone.
the floor i'm on at my current employer is about 2000
square feet and there's only 10 of us up here. not
only can you hear the woooosh of the hvac system, you
can hear everyone else as they type away on their
keyboards, not to mention every conversation whether
or not it takes place behind a closed door.
i find NPR, particularly "Stories on Stage" good white
noise for me. i also listen to tunes on my flash/mp3
player.
personally i think a little noise is a good thing.
