Too bad that kind of action isn't taken on CEOs and other high flyers. Just imagine who many more managers could be hired if just one CEO took a little off the top!
Maybe a little less than a million dollar compensation package could make a board of directors not outsource top management positions.
Or do the board of directors of most companies care that their top management team usually doesn't add that much value to the business? A great many U.S. businesses are top heavy in compensation.
Why even MBNA recently allowed its CEO to resign over a little thing like buying an Andrew Weyth painting. Of course he also had accumulated for the company a $65 million dollar art collection, several jets, yachts, a couple of helecopters....
