I don't agree...ask Keith if he thinks the latest resignation because of
his response was justified.
I (and I'm sure others) have received responses both on and off-list
where after we read how we'd insulted the person and they're now seeking
professional help and will never write again, could only look at the
response and think "Huh?"
I'd say that when we are being deliberately insulting, we know it and
most time it's perceived that way. However, I think we've all, in the
past, responded in an efficient manner (without all kinds of
ego-soothing tones) and it was taken as a huge insult. Sometimes, it's
simply because we didn't agree with the person.
