A good book for this is 'Writing for Engineers, Managers, Scientists' by
HJ Tichy. It was a text years ago for my tech writing class from UC
Berkeley, and they still use it. It's expensive, though. It does have
some good sections on how to interact with other people.

Another one, probably better, (it's shorter and has a completely
different emphasis) is from Oryx Press. It's ' How to Write and Present
Technical Information' by Charles H. Sides (I think it has several
editions. I have the 3rd edition).

It would be good to use the Sides one with optional (or occasional)
reading assignments from the Tichy one. The Tichy one is expensive.
