I am using RoboHelp X5 and Word XP. I produced a Web Help file in RH,
then used its Single Source Layout Printed Documentation to produce a
Word version of the Web Help file.
In the print output file in Word, my start location for numbered lists
changes from 1.75" to 1.5" whenever it comes after a bullet (also set at
1.75"). If I correct any of the bad numbered list items to 1.75", I
either lose all of my numbering or else all of my number ones are gone
and I have a huge doc full of continuous numbers.
To get the number ones back at the beginning of each step list, I need
to manually restart each one, and this is a 374 page document. I have
never had a problem with numbering in RoboHelp, but have had tons of
similar numbering problems with Word going back to the year 2000. I
believe the problem lies in Word XP and not RoboHelp X5. I don't know if
anybody out there has this same problem and a solution, but I'd be happy
to hear whatever might be considered to solve it.
