> I'm trying to recreate a format in FrameMaker that I had in Word.
I'd like to create a bullet that is a graphic (the word "Note" in a box with
a colored fill).
>
As usual with FM, there are several possible solutions. Here are two:
-- Use a two-column, one-row table with no ruling lines (define a new table
format for this, of course).
In the left cell, create the "bullet." You can define a pgf format for this
with the text you want (e.g., "Note") as its Autonumber string. Use Table >
Custom Ruling and Shading to give this cell the colored fill.
In the right cell, put the paragraph that will contain the note text (define
a pgf format for this, too, if necessary).
Once the table is done, you can put an instance of it on a reference page or
in a specific FM "resource" file and copy/paste whenever you need one.
-- For a faster, easier way to do stuff like this, check out the Auto-Text
plug-in from Silicon Prarie Software (www.siliconprariesoftware.com). It's
only $10, and it's shareware, so you can try it first and see if you like
it.
HTH!
