Re: Import HTML into Outlook message?
Thanks, Bonnie. I'm in Outlook 2000 on WinNT 4.0. Anybody have a clue what the analogous something might be? I don't see one. :-(
What David said, plus:
1. Don't do it in Outlook. Even if you _receive_ an HTML message in Outlook and then try to forward it, the HTML gets munged VERY BADLY almost every time.
2. If you must send HTML email (as sometimes I must, no matter how much I stamp my feet), use a tool designed for it. There are a few approaches. One is to use Outlook Express or Netscape or some similar email composition client that offers you the choice. Another, the cook-your-own approach, is to use ASP (or your language of choice) to build a message object and send it from your SMTP server. The third approach is to build the HTML in, for example, Dreamweaver (or Notepad for that matter) and then use a purpose-built bulk email tool to send it for you. These tools range from very cheap to very expensive, and they're a bit cumbersome for sending a single message (although I use one that way for sending proofs before doing a bulk mailing), but they work well enough.
