Yes, basically my original post was prompted by an Engineer that said he was used to typing with two spaces afer a period and I tried to convince him that wasn't done anymore. I then looked at our style guide and there it was..."two spaces after a period." I appreciate all the response and apologize for not finding the previous posts in the archive. I guess to sum this up, the two spaces after the period does not apply now since word processing software adds a space anyway but, it really doesn't really matter in the long run.
