One thing important is the work load allowed for this printer, eg. 5000
pages/month (or day?) etc. I forgot the term, but you got the idea. Do you
need color for your documents?

Hi, guys...because of construction on our floor, a wall went up between
my department and the network printer. So, network services came to me
asking me for the specs for the machine that they'll buy as a
replacement to put near us.

Our needs are modest. We do mostly Word, evolving to mostly FM printing.
Documents are usually in the 80-250 page range and we rarely do more
than two copies.

We all have low-cost inkjet printers on out desks to check color and
one-off printing, and if need be, can route a large print job to the big
floor-model Mita Color Duplex/Punch/Staple printer 3 floors up.

What we need is a workhorse network printer with few bells and whistles.
Here's what I asked for, let me know if you would have asked for
anything different:

40-60ppm
1,000 sheet paper bin
Duplex
As much RAM as possible
Real Postscript (as opposed to emulation)

What did I miss that's really important?
