Thanks, Bonnie...by your definition, my use of select is correct. The
selection is from a dropdown list, which always shows the selection by
appearing in reverse, at least until the list collapses and the selected
value is the value shown in the dropdown list space.
I just got out of three back-to-back meetings...I'll be evaluating the

"Select" in Windows generally means to highlight an item with the mouse
pointer (black text on white background changes to white text on some
