No doubt anything I say would be dismissed as anti-Microsoft bigotry by someone
on the list (not necessarily you, I hurry to add). So all I will say is this:
If anyone thinks that Passport is harmless, do a Google search. You'll soon
learn all that you need to know about the security issues.
Failing that, ask yourself what the point of passwords are in the first place,
and whether it makes sense to have someone else - anyone else - manage them.
The Liberty Alliance is marginally preferable to Passport, because it's de-
centralized, but I'm not very crazy about that, either.
