Yahoo groups ultimately function as a mailing list. I am a member of
one, and I get e-mails in my mailbox, just like I do with techwr-l.
There isn't any practical difference between a Yahoo group and a
"mailing list." One can, with Yahoo, opt to read the messages on the Web
site, but one can also receive e-mails individually.
