Save the file as MIF, open the MIF file in a text editor, or open it in FM with File > Open, and Shift+Click on Open to make FM open as text. Choose Each Line is a Paragraph.

Search for <VariableFormats to find the beginning of the variable catalog, and search for > # end of VariableFormats to locate the end of the catalog. Copy/paste this whole section into a new file, or delete all before and after this section, then save to a new file name.
