Eric has a point. But I don't want the chapters to offer the same
jobs. I want the local touch of local jobs for local chapters. Looking
to move? Go to the local chapter's Website. Usually you can guess or
Google this addy, or find a link on another STC site.
Local chapters vary in who can see the posted jobs. For example, http://www.stc-boston.org requires a password and Id for such member
content as the job bank, but http://www.stc-nne.org, http://www.stc-vermont.org, and http://www.stc-ct.org do not. (Of
course, the Boston site has many more jobs.) For the STC-CT site, the
board decided pretty close to unanimously not to protect the info.
And, the national STC site has different jobs, still .... I saw some
posted there for CT that had never been sent to the STC-CT Website
....
Agreed, there needs to be some unification in all of this, but with
bunches of volunteers, such a thing is difficult on even a regional,
let alone a national basis. And, with funds and membership down ....
