Hi All:
Without taking sides on the whole "STC is cool and useful", "STC is
uncool and useless" debate STC does have a forum called Lone Writers,
similar to TECHWR-L, which I have found to serve a similar purpose as
TECHWR-L has. In fact, I often post questions to both forums and get
responses of equal quality from both.
In terms of the STC Lone Writers, I don't see any of the evils of STC
that so many TECHWR-Ls insist exist (again, I have no real position one
or another on this debate nor do I particularly care.) People ask
questions. People get answers. It has been that simple for me in terms
of Lone Writers.
If STC (or any other organization or individual) sponsored TECHWR-L the
way Lone Writers is sponsored (or if an organization maintains TECHWR-L
as it currently is), I don't see an issue.
Besides, isn't all we want to do is to ask questions and get answers? :)
