However, that does not solve the issue of recompense to the Rays for setting the whole thing up and getting the 5000 members interested in the first place.
Just an FYI: The list predates the Rays. It did well before them. And
Er, that's not correct--I formed TECHWR-L in 1993. There wasn't
a "before the Rays" era.
This list is a great free resource for us at this time, but it
seems likely we will need to think of avenues for $$ for the
transition, no?
Potentially...
The trick will be to keep the $ behind the scenes. Move $ between
TECHWR-L subscribers and TECHWR-L content, and TECHWR-L is dead.
That's possibly a true statement...but I think there are ways
that TECHWR-L could synthesize both worlds effectively.
