Reading Word's Custom Properties without opening a doc?

Hi Guys,
I've got a whole bunch of Word docs spread over our network and I'm trying
to get some info on them without having to open them all one by one. I know
they all have titles and subtitles defined in Word's standard properties,
and have release dates, doc numbers etc stored as custom properties.
I've found that I can use an ActiveX DLL called dsofile.dll to read the
standard properties using oFilePropReader.GetDocumentProperties... - info
from Word MVP
But I don't think I can get at the custom properties that way. Anyone know
of how to get the custom properties? I want to be able to specify a path and
for my macro to scan the path for all word docs, then go through that list
and write the custom and standard properties to a new doc.
