Quoting carthur <carthur000 -at- sympatico -dot- ca>:
One of our developers sent me the following question:
"Is there a document file format/tool that the developers could use for
feature specifications where we can easily diff doc versions? Something a
little more sophisticated than a plain text file and less annoying than
word?"
I've seen wikis used in Open Source projects.
Wikipedia, although it's not technical writing per se, provides a good example of what can be done with wikis (it now has well over 300,000 articles).
