API Documentation/Training Specialist
Entriq Inc. (www.entriq.com) is an application service provider (ASP) and
software development company that provides complete, turnkey solutions for
monetizing and digitizing pay-media content. Entriq needs a technical writer
with strong API documentation experience to work on-site in Carlsbad, CA.
The primary responsibility of this writer will be to re-write, reorganize,
and update the developers documentation on our Entriq ASP Members Web site.
This documentation helps our customers integrate their Web sites with our
security, billing, and customer care platform via a set of proprietary APIs.
The documentation includes code examples and API reference material.
Qualifications
* B.A. or B.S. degree in a computer science, technical writing, or
related field, or equivalent experience in a software development
environment
* Excellent technical writing, communication, and content organization
skills
* 5 years experience documenting complex software applications,
including at least 1 year documenting APIs and SDKs, and 1 year developing
Web-based documentation, preferably for an ASP
* Familiarity with XML and HTML
* Ability to quickly grasp and translate complex technical concepts
by reading documentation, interviewing technical staff, and working with
applications
* Detail-oriented, conscientious, focused, and fast
* Experience with digital rights management (DRM) and e-commerce
applications (highly desirable)
* Experience with applications for any of the following: customer
service representative, customer billing, streaming media, and content
management for rich media (desirable)
* 1 year of Training Development experience
* 3+ years of Presentation experience
* Strong web development background
Recent writing samples, including API documentation excerpts, will be
required when interviews are conducted.
