Folks,

The problem with off-topic threads that veer into politics is that--long
after heated emotions have settled--your comments are still recorded for
any potential employer to see. This country's pretty closely divided
between conservatives and liberals, so when you disparage one side, you're
offending half of the people who might otherwise have considered hiring
you.

There are plenty of other places to rant on these subjects.
