TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I recently acquired the Adobe Creative Suite to replace my aging and
increasingly unreliable copy of PageMaker with InDesign, and to finally
make some time to learn Photoshop in some depth. Along with these two,
I obtained a copy of GoLive, Adobe's Web site tool.
I'm already using an older version (4) of Dreamweaver, which is a
decent tool despite its quirks, but would be interested in hearing
comparisons or war stories from those who are already using GoLive. Can
you think of any reason to switch, or would it be simpler and more
time-effective to just upgrade Dreamweaver to the latest MX release
when I free up some spare cash?
