To avoid the increased file size and preserve the text
in the pdf, just edit the graphic, crop or cut it out of
the page bitmap, then use the Touchup Object tool to
delete the original graphic from the PDF and replace it
with the edited one. No need to mess with the parts
of the PDF that don't need to be changed.
