expectations about the use of terms.
The company requires a significant amount of skill and experience for even
its entry-level employees, it would seem.
The ad is informing prospective candidates that the requirements -- though
fairly high -- are those for entry-level people in that organization. The ad
is not defining the term "entry level," but it is using it in the context of
its own circumstances.
We expect "entry level" to mean a lower level of requirements, but here it
means simply the lowest level on the rung of highly skilled employees.
