I have to add that you could also consider FrameMaker in conjunction
with FrameAC, by Mekon Ltd. FrameAC is the FrameMaker API in Visual
Basic. What this means for database development is significant. I
wrote up a database connection with FrameAC in some rediculously small
amount of code. Remember that Visual Basic comes with many tools,
utilities, and conveniences for database development.
Disclaimer: I represent Mekon, and I demonstrated FrameAC and
FrameMaker at the FrameUsers conference.. Nonetheless, I think it's a
