While there are a lot of documents out there that can be very graphic
heavy, and I know I've worked on some myself, it usually seems to happen
not at the request of a writer, but of others involved in the
documentation process who want pretty pictures on the pages. If I had a
dime for every time marketing or a higher-up asked for more screen shots
in a document, I'd be sending this from my own private island right now,
not my cubicle.
