Dan the technical writer went to the mall to do some real holiday
shopping.
However, he couldn't find what he wanted, at the price he wanted, in the
colors he wanted. He wandered from store to store in search of the
perfect gifts ... but to no avail.
Dan suddenly remembered why he had purchased all of his gifts online last
year. He quickly left the mall and logged onto his computer.
There is was. SnagIt - the world's leading screen capture software. 2
for $60. Free shipping in US, Mexico and Canada.
He had his shopping done in just a few clicks, with time left over to
check out some more of SnagIt's newest features, such as Profile
Import/Export, Automatic File Naming, Web Capture, and the new Image
Effects.
He sat back, refreshed and prepared for the holiday season.
"Thanks, SnagIt, for saving me from the florescent lights and food court,"
he whispered. "Malls are nice ... but they can't compare with this
holiday deal."
ANNOUNCE: Client Usability Testing Opportunity at CU Denver
Starting January 15, 2005, the M.S. in Technical Communication Program at
the University of Colorado at Denver offers a semester-length course in
Usability Testing (graduate level). We invite public and private sector
organizations to participate, by providing documents, software, or other
technology for which they would like usability-testing or
comprehensibility tests performed in our usability testing lab, or at
client sites. Students in the course design and execute usability testing
under close faculty supervision. We offer this service in exchange for a
monetary contribution to our program?s technology and scholarship
fund-usually client contributions are $1000-$1500, far below industry
usability testing rates. We test the following: web sites; software
documentation and interfaces; tutorials & instructions; all kinds of
technical documentation. If you think you may be interested, please
