Hi Kelly,
If he exports the files as EPS, they should open in any graphics app. If
that doesn't work, try converting to PDF. Macromedia FreeHand opens PDFs
(Illustrator probably does, too). I don't know why the text blocks are
rotating, so he still may have to fix that once he opens the files in a
modern graphics app.
