Kevin,

I'm running XP Home and Red Hat 9 very successfully on a laptop with partitioned 20GB hard drive. The only problem I've had is that RedHat 9.0 doesn't seem to like my USB connected FDD. Otherwise it works just fine.

All,

What I don't need is for Win XP to wake up from the anesthetic and start
screaming about the amputation and demanding that I call Uncle Bill to beg
forgiveness (and permission to resume using my office PC...). I also don't
wish to waste a lot of time restoring backed up data and re-installing
software (and getting the IT guy ticked-off at me).

The obvious solution is to add a new hard drive, but we're a branch office,
and the paperwork takes forever.

Thoughts? Cautions?

Kevin
