Re: Frame to OO--was Re: replacing Word - Framemaker vs Indesign?
To change tangent somewhat, what if any experience do you have with
copying content back and forth between Frame and OO? For SME review,
etc., we currently convert from Frame through Mif2Go to Word. What do
you suppose are the options for going from Frame to OO, and
practicality?
I try to avoid switching back and forth between programs. Perfect filters don't exist, so using them just increases the work load with no real benefit.
If don't mind some formatting problems, .rtf or .doc formats should work. However, I suggest that the real solution would be to use structured FrameMaker and some form of XML. OOo supports simplified DocBook, and you can also create your own XML filters.
