Slightly more useful response:
Consider there should be specs available for not only
engineering work, but for testing to use, and documentation, and other
groups who need to work with what they're making. If there are no
specs, then there's no direction for any of the work. :-) And if there
REALLY aren't specs, well, heaven help you! LOL!!!
But you could wrap all the info you get here up with
a bit more info for other groups you work with, call it a
"specification template",
and hand it off for the engineers to fill out for each and every item
they work on.
