RE: Version 1.x ?
Given that a software product is issued as version 1.0 (which some companies just call version 1), then goes through some incremental releases (1.1, 1.2, ...) before a major change causes the Powers That Be to christen a new version 2.0, how does (should) the documentation refer to the generation of incremental releases prior to 2.0?
For what it's worth, I use 1.n in my documentation.
