Re: What notebook did you buy?
(What is the average time an unprotected Windows computer is infected when plugged into the Internet? Something like 20 minutes, I think... but I don't know or care -- I use a Mac :-) )
I don't use it any more, but Windows is perfectly safe if you never use Internet Explorer nor apps that use the IE core (Outlook/Express and the webbier features of MS Office). The problem is IE, not Windows per se.
Mac and Linux users (I'm both) shouldn't congratulate themselves for one moment. Microsoft over-reached years ago, knows it, and for business reasons can't admit it.
It really is that simple.
