There are many reasons why the color depth on your computer (high
color or better) should be quite adequate even for brochure creation.
What you say is all true. All the same, I wouldn't want to handicap myself even further by choosing too low a color depth.
Naturally, no matter what color depth, I'd want to do lots of tests and proofs, so maybe my concern is needless. Still, I'm a great believer in streamlining work, so I'll take what advantages I can to make my life easier.
